He's the weirdo who looks into people's cars, just because he likes cars, and he's nosy, and he needs to know what color the interior is, etc. I found it humiliating as a kid.
ETA: He has never stolen anything from someone else's car. He does know how to hot wire a car, though, courtesy of his cousin who was an actual greaser back in the day.
There's a dude breaking into cars( by smashing their windows) in our parking lot (mostly at night) and the other day I saw him walking up to cars and looking inside during work hours! I know it was him because of how someone else described him who saw him and he had a thick glove on his one hand.

This happened recently to DH's truck when I had it. I work on the 3rd floor and happened to walk by the window and saw some creep walking back & forth between his SUV & my truck. He did it multiple times and kept looking in the windows. They are tinted really dark so he had his hands up against the windows looking in. I grabbed the keys and set the alarm off - he jumped in his suv and hauled ass. Freaked me out bc there was a computer in the back set - I was moving offices at the time and was taking some stuff home.
I've actually gotten into cars that look a lot like mine, at the grocery store. Twice. Once I didn't realize it till my key wouldn't fit in the ignition.
I got into the wrong car in HS. My friend's dad was picking us up and pulled up to the curb and I got it. Wasn't their car!

we have a friend who came out of the grocery store one day to discover that somebody had stuck a political bumper sticker on her car. she got down and started scratching it off with her finger nails. after a while, she decided that she just needed to get her groceries home and would finish scraping the sticker off at home. she hit the button on her keychain and a car 2 spaces over unlocked. LOL
Ha! I can just picture the owners of the car standing in the front of the grocery store.
"Mom, why aren't we going to our car?" "There is a crazy lady out there doing something to it."
This happens to me all the time since I got my new car. Its very noticeable and new. Its usually a young dude that's into cars. That's not to say this dude wasn't casing you though.
(my car is not fancy, its just a Hyundai Veloster, it just looks pretty. lol)
Those are very pretty and cool looking cars! I hope it's as fun to drive as it looks.

H almost accidentally got in the wrong car just a couple months ago. He was running in to Lowe's to grab something really quick; it was busy, so I just slowly circled around the parking lot and waited for him to come back out. I see him walk out the doors, and before I can get up to the front, he starts opening some other person's car door. LOL. It was the same kind of car as mine. He quickly noticed and shut the door. He said the woman driving was talking on her phone and didn't even notice or look over when he opened the door!
