Tell me what you take to lunch at work?

Probably 3/5 days I take dinner leftovers.

The other days, I'll take a turkey sandwich with soup, or a huge salad, or a bunch of little bites like crackers, cheese, and an apple.

I'm lazy and our workplace only has microwaves and refrigerators so I usually buy frozen stuff to take to work. Occasionally I'll take leftovers or oatmeal. To make up for the frozen crap I also try to take fresh fruit and always have a Greek yogurt.

Until I got one of my warnings on an annual review that I "didn't socialize enough over lunch time with my coworkers".

So take a fucking lunch.

Usually a bunch of snacky stuff. If I'm out of the house, I'm on the road, so I need a little cooler. This is what I'll take:

-A piece of fruit
-Greek yogurt
-Some kind of chips, crackers, or popcorn
-Sliced cheese or string cheese
-Slices of pre-cooked turkey bacon
-Some sort of salad. Lately it's tomato & cucumber salad w/ feta and balsamic vinaigrette. I've also brought chicken Caesar and tuna + crackers.
-Usually a sweet like Hershey's kisses or Nutella & Go

Generally leftovers. Rarely a sandwich (I'm not a huge fan of lunch meat). Occasionally a frozen meal.

I go on a streak of greek yogurt with flax seeds

or

hummus and a veggie.

Either way, I bring in everything I need for lunches and snacks (almonds, cheese sticks and dark chocolate chips) for the week on Mondays.

I usually take frozen meals. I am loving the Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer meals right now. I also take some sort of fruit to go with my meal. I also snack on some yogurt in the morning.

Fruit - banana, peach, clementines, apple, apricots, strawberries, etc.

I hate sandwiches.

Boyfriend is a butt face about eating leftovers so I've been making us bentos to save money for the past few months.

My rice cooker has a timer which is amazing. I just put stuff in the night before and the rice is done when I wake up. I make the rest of the things for the box in less than 20 minutes and I'm done for the day. Also, the only reason I make them in the morning is because my school microwave is shitty so I don't want to bother. You could totally make them the night before and then refridgerate.

DH is the only one who takes lunch, I work at home, but he normally takes dinner leftovers or a PBJ.

This was at my review.

The funny thing was that I ALWAYS organized the post work happy hours.  ALWAYS.  Everyone enjoyed them.  I also organized weekend get togethers, parties at MY HOUSE and the boss' and others, and other things that included alcohol (because frankly, that's how I got along with the colleagues).

Evidently I needed to mesh with them during a sad case of tupperware laden food.
