I'm taking Japanese 101 at my local college this semester and our first class was yesterday. Based on the syllabus I think I already know almost all the things the professor is planning on covering. I mean, it will still be nice to practice speaking with others and I'm sure I'll still learn a lot, but I can already write all the hiragana and katakana and I already know a lot of the vocabulary in the book. Nerd alert!
That's awesome! Can you switch to a more advanced class?
no, I don't think so. They offer 102 only in the spring and I'm pretty sure I'm not ready for the 200 level class. I'll just have to use it as a good way to work on correct pronunciation, since I can practice with my classmates
