I received three pencil skirts that I ordered online. Two of them hit me a good 1.5 to 2 inches below the bottom of my knee. Is this too long? I noticed that the Surely Sonsy chick wears hers below the knee, but I think her calves must be longer than mine, because I feel like it looks weird on me and like I'm not showing much leg. Might it be in my head, or should I have them altered? If I have them altered, how short should I have them hemmed?
Obviously this needs ironing.
PS - When I asked the husband if he likes the skirt, he said, "You look like a banana."
I think they should hit below your knee and at the thinnest part of the area below your knee....kwim? I think yours will be awesome an inch or 2 shorter.
Some of the best fashion advice I ever got was to make sure your sleeves and skirts hit at the thinnest part of your arm or leg. It totally makes a difference.

I think I need to hem my 3 new pencil skirts too but I wore each to work already and got TONS of compliments on them. They hit me right below my knee and I'd like them to be right above but then the advice of the smallest part of your calf?? (right?) is where they hit me.
