So last night A had been asleep for about a half hour and I hear her crying (I was upstairs doing my nails and DH was downstairs with the baby monitor). She'll wake up once in a while and cry for a minute or less and then just go back to sleep but this time she kept going, and it became louder. I hear DH coming upstairs quickly so I meet him in her room. Her leg was bent and her bent knee was stuck in the crib slats (if that makes sense) and we could NOT get it out. We have no clue how she even got it in there that tight. We tried pulling the slats wider but they wouldn't budge, squeezing her little leg, pushing it through, NOTHING would work. I went downstairs and got Pam spray to grease her up (no idea why we didn't use soap haha) and it finally did the trick. Her poor little leg was red but thankfully after some hugs and rocking she went back to sleep. This morning her leg looked fine and no bruising or anything. It was kind of scary at the moment, and then of course I had to go and do my nails over again. Ahh parenthood.
Oh my gosh! Poor A! You guys were quick thinking to grab the Pam. I probably would have grabbed butter a la Kimmy Gibler style- too messy! Glad her little leg is ok!
