My friend is getting married in the winter in a northern state and would like black dresses. She's not a big planner and is already hating the planning process. To help her, we're all trying to put together a few options for BM dresses. Help me shop? We're all different sizes (1 busty, 1 flat, one very thin, one plus sized, etc.) so I doubt we'll find one universally flattering dress. We'd prefer $150 or under.
How plus-sized is the plus size one? B/C I'd be considered plus size and could wear a BM dress from Ann Taylor.
The dresses for my wedding were from Ann Taylor. I had two bridesmaids and gave them a choice between a strapless, a v neck, and a scoop neck, and all three cocktail dresses were in the same fabric and color.
Size 14/16ish BM, very busty, tried on all three and went with the scoop neck. She had to get a bigger size and get it altered down to for her boobs.
Size 6/8ish BM chose the v neck because it was the only one left in her size. Fit with minimal alterations.
I ordered them together during a 40% off Cyber Monday sale and got free shipping. They were delivered within a week. The first BM ordered a few to try, and sent back the rejects with no hassle whatsoever.
ETA: And I think the dresses were about $120 or $130 each during the 40% off sale.

I had a friend who did something similar to this but with J Crew dresses. She picked the color & type of fabric and let the BM pick which style they wanted. My friend was a BM and ordered all the dresses to try on and sent back the styles she didn't like. I can't speak for the fit but there were ladies of all shapes in the wedding party. I just checked and most of the bridesmaids dresses start at $250 but some were on sale. There's also a 25% off sale happening right now and hopefully another sale in the future to get you closer to your budget.
