I know this has been discussed before, but the keywords make it hard to search for a good thread about it. Zoe's hitting really ramped up recently and this weekend she started kicking the dogs. What are you ladies doing to deal with that behavior? We've been trying to do the forced gentle petting/face touching and telling her "soft hands" and short of telling her that we don't kick the dogs, I don't know what to do.
We have used time out with success. When she hits, kicks or bites us or one of the animals we say "do you want to go in your room?" As a warning then when she doesn't stop we put her in her gated playroom for maybe 20-30 seconds. It has been working well for us, but I know time out is not for everyone and every child

Sigh, nothing works here. Today Ari pulled my hair so hard he had a chunk clumped up in his hand. Time-outs don't work and neither does gentle, etc. Also, the more stern my voice gets the larger his smile gets. I can not wait until this phase is over
