Some of these make me so angry. How the hell do you raise a daughter with a positive self image and no self-destructive tendencies unless you take her to a desert island and forbid all media til she's 30??
Oh wow, I can't believe they make them skinnier, I mean I knew they removed moles and under eye circles but I did not realize all the other stuff they did.
I wish celebrities would take a stand and tell the printer to stop doing so much photoshopping.

I wish I would have known about photo editing when I was a teen. I hated my thighs and would constantly compare them to the models in the silly YM's and Teen Vogues of the time. Turns out they aren't even real.
I am no where near a pro, but I know a few things in photoshop and would be able to edit myself to look quite different. Skin tone, blemishes, wrinkles, etc. It's not all that complicated...just expensive software!
It really is sad that these people are being represented as both real and ideal, yet they're not real and shouldn't be considered ideal. When I was growing up, my mom discouraged us from paying attention to magazines and pop culture in general. Although it's made me relatively ignorant about pop culture, I'm really glad she did.

I used to know a guy who did photo editing for a magazine. I asked him to tell me what he did when we were first getting to know each other and he said "I digitally remove the pimples from celebrities asses and shape their boobs."
George Clooney looks hot younger. I could see little changes being fine, but when they are huge, like Britney's whole body changed, that's seems wrong. Humans come in all different shapes and sizes and we should celebrate what real women look like. Some people on here weren't edited much at all, but others so much.
