Since college swimming, I have been aggressively anti-morning workout. All those years in high school and college getting up at 4am and 5am for morning practice... I am just over it. During HIM training I got up to run in the AM a few times when it was absolutely necessary, but I resisted it hard. I am an evening workout person.
Well, when I planned out my half training, I realized that unless I wanted to give up Wed night masters swimming, my Wed pace runs have to happen in the AM. And if I do pace runs Wed AMs, I need to do Tues runs in the AM too, so they're not 12 hrs apart. And then Thurs would probably be better in the AM too, although not mandatory. (But masters swimming, I can't quit you!)
So I decided I would aim for T-W-Th mornings. Th can optionally be at night. But I am two mornings in a row into it, and so far so good.
I hereby give myself a (star). Actually, I totally used it to justify $250 last night for a new Garmin to replace my dead 405. If my ass is getting out of bed for this, I want numbers!
Good for you! I am a former morning work out-"er"...now a lunchtime exerciser thanks to my new schedule post-baby. I miss my AM workout and feeling accomplished before I leave for work in the AM

Nice job. New gear always gets me going. I have come to love the solace of my morning workouts, but getting out of bed is still rough at 5:05. I just have to remind myself it will suck just as much an hour later and I will feel like crap for missing my workout - it works 95% of the time.

Nicely done! I'm having a hard time dragging my ass to the pool anytime BUT mornings lately. Evenings just seem to be such a time suck. And I am so TOTALLY not a morning person.
I am an evening run / workout girl too. I admire your early morning success!
I feel like my day would be more efficient if I worked out in the morning (and save on duplicate showerings), but I just. Don't. Wanna. Maybe one day I will magically become a morning person.

This. Totally this. It is so true, too! (usually).
