So I've been at this working out thing for about a month now, working out every day or 6 days a week, sometimes even twice a day. I had been gaining weight, which really ticked me off. But thanks to your ladies' suggestions, I bought a food scale to weigh/measure everything I put into my body and have been eating about 300 more calories a day, bringing me right around 1,900 instead of 1,600-1,700 a day.
Weighed myself this morning, and I dropped 3 pounds! I know it's just 3 pounds but when I'd been gaining, I'm pretty excited about it. DH said last night that I seem to have so much more energy than I did when I wasn't working out consistently, too. Let's hope this keeps up.
