I only managed to squeak out 2.5 miles of my planned 3.5 miles last night. It was super hot amd i kept coughing whole running. I did a cardio class after amd was fine through that.
Today i feel like a cold is coming in. I have just two miles planned for tonight. They won't be great but i could probably get them in. Better to run or just rest?
I am leaning rest but also trying very harf not to slack off training. I am so close to my 50 mile goal for august.
i be typing frm me phone. typos and grammer dont count.
I would rest. The 50 mile goal is somewhat arbitrary and not worth prolonging an illness over. 48 in August + 48 in September is better than 51 in August and 30 in September because you had a cold that you couldn't kick.
I'd rest tonight, and if you feel better tomorrow, try the 2 then. Even if it does develop a bit, I find that running is a *fantastic* decongestant, and without fail, I feel better after the run than I did before.

This. If I feel a cold coming on, going for a short, slow run really seems to help break things up.
