Does anyone else have the issue of only being able to wear jeans once before they lose their shape and get baggy? Is there any way to prevent this or to avoid washing after only one wear?
I just purchased some jeans from the Limited and they had a nice amount of spandex in them . I wore them to school and they didn't get saggy.
I bought one pair from The Limited and it was the worst pair of jeans ever for this problem, for me. I would put them on, get in my car and drive to work, and they'd be sagged halfway down my thigh.
I make sure they feel a little too snug when I try them on the first time, and that they aren't Gap. I have had good luck with Lucky. Premium is not in my budget.
what brands of jeans are you buying? my understanding is that premium denim holds its shape better. probably not the answer you were looking for.
This is true, re: premium denim. Absolutely worth the money for a couple of well-fitting pairs in my opinion.
This is funny - I've had exactly the opposite experience with premium denim (mostly COH and Seven - apparently my butt has a thing for Jerome Dahan) and generally buy them a size smaller because they stretch after one wear. FWIW, though, most of my premium denim has a much higher cotton to spandex ratio than my cheaper jeans, so the lack of spandex may be causing the stretch...?
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."

I am by no means an expert (although god knows I spend enough on clothes that I probably should be), but in my experience Seven and COH are sort of the worst of the bunch. I've got a pair of bootcut COH that I like but I have been unimpressed by Seven in the past. And yeah, I bet the spandex content has a lot to do with it. I really like J Brand, personally - I got a pair of their cigarette leg jeans 6 years ago and they are still going strong - as well as Hudson.
I hate all the stupid rhinestones on these, but they fit me super well! (big thighs and butt, small waist) They also do not sag or get loose after washing them. Decent price I think, too.
