I just realized, I am incapable of eating a cherry or grape tomato without giving it a squeeze. If it feels soft to me, I throw it away. I never just bite into it.
Maybe this isn't a weird habit? Do you guys have any weird ones?
I don't like super cold water. I prefer no ice. That isn't really food though.
Hmmm...I always leave the "best" bite of something for last. That is weird!

I do this too. I also take the cheese and toppings off of pizza, and eat the crust first then the cheese and toppings. I think this is very weird, but I want to save the best parts for last. I only do this when I'm alone or with my husband; I would never let anyone else see me do this.

I have been known to eat Nutella out of the jar with a spoon.
I don't like eating apples by just biting into them. I don't like the sound it make and how you can sometimes get more skin than filling, so I almost always use my apple-core tool and slice them before eating them.
I also have to look at whatever I put in my mouth. So, if I'm eating chips/popcorn/etc.. I eat them one at a time after I inspect each one.
Me too. I inspect all my food - H makes fun of me all the time for it. I also take what he calls "bird bites" because they're so small, but that makes the inspecting easier.
I save the best bite for last as well. If I'm eating a sandwich, the last bite has to have some of every ingredient or I end up very disappointed.

I peel the skin off grapes with my teeth, before I can eat the middle. I put all multi colored candy into order (rainbow -minus purple for skittles) and eat them in that pattern. None of my foods that aren't 100% solid can touch. I can't eat the first three pieces of bread in the bag, even if it's not the end... any time I open it, I have to skip the first 3.
I'm sure I can think of more if I try. I have a lot of food quirks.
Ok I have to know...how in the world does eating chips with a spoon even work?
I guess you crunch them down first. **shrugs**
I'll eat a frito pie with a spoon but that's more than just chips. I am a sicko who likes to lick the orange stuff off my fingers after eating cheetos and doritos so it doesn't bother me.
That reminds me that every.single.time that I eat Bugles, I put one cone on each finger and pretend to have witch hands before gobbling them down. That never gets old.

I don't like for my food to touch. If they do touch, I can still eat it. I just would prefer they not touch.
I eat one thing at a time. Salad, move to meat, move to veggies, move to pasta, etc. I do that unless it's somewhere that I don't go often, then I taste everything then decide what to save for last.
Any candy that is colored, I make all the colors even. For example if there are 7 Yellow, 5 Green, 5 Purple, 4 red, and 2 orange, I eat 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 purple, 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 purple, 1 red, etc until all the colors are even. If they are fruit flavored, I save red and purple for last. If it's M&Ms, I save blue and red for last.
I eat my desserts in very small bites. I realized just how slow at a business lunch on Friday.

OPS, I used to do the Bugle-hand thing, too. Haha.
I have a habit of inspecting my food also. I prefer for different items not to touch, but I still eat them if it happens. I place certain items next to each other that I wouldn't mind eating together.
I leave the soft fruit such as strawberries for DH . I also avoid soft, brown spots on bananas. I don't like biting into apples so I use a slicer.
I'll poke the center out of a reese cup before I eat it.
For those baby carrots, you can nibble the outside of the carrot and it reveals kind of a stick center. And for pickle spears I eat the seeds first, then the rest.
haha
I do that too! I've always thought it looked like a tiny little stick!
