My dr. prescribed me the generic version of Phentermine to help me lose weight, as I'm at a BMI of 30. I've been on it for a week. Today I've been getting some weird heaviness in my chest, not hindering my breathing or anything, but almost the way I feel if I have to cough. I went to CVS and had my blood pressure checked, it's normal. I'm thinking I should probably stop taking it. That sucks, as it has really helped me with appetite control.
I don't know anything about that particular drug, but as a rule, if a Dr. prescribed it, I think you should talk to your Dr. about your side effects before making any decisions about discontinuing.
Talk to your doc right away. I'm also did eyeing their prescribing it to you. The guidelines are fairly strict and a bmi of 30 barely qualifies without a comorbid condition. How long have you been on it? There are some serious cardiac adverse reactions and it honestly wasn't that effective in clinical trials.

This! Your pharmacist should have counseled you when you picked it up too. Then perhaps you wouldn't have taken it and experienced the bad side effects.
