I had Sadie wrapped earlier today. It was very comfy. I have a Didymos Aqua Waves. www.wrapyourbaby.com/ is a super-fantastic site for learning more about wrapping, and she's really nice.

Ha! Well I wrapped her on my back following her instructions
My SD card reader is broken, so I have to wait for DH to load them, but in a bit, I'll have some pictures of me wrapping Holden (a 50 pound 5 year old). Full disclosure: I'm a little drunk in said pictures.
Wraps, people! I can drape it around like a scarf or use it as a blanket.
But even for an almost two year old?
I don't know, but it's great for an almost 16 month old. I've been using a gauze one this summer (Wrapsody Bali Breeze) and will switch back to my regular woven Girasol once it cools down a bit. I find they are so much more comfortable and distribute his weight better than soft structured carriers (Ergo, Beco, etc).
His or her legs! Haha, just kidding. I don't know. We use our hips.
I let my kid walk a block or two, but he gets distracted by everything and must flirt with everyone, so I have to pick him up to actually get anywhere.
