Please give me brutally honest hair opinions

So went in for a trim today....came out with bangs. I just decided I wanted something different while sitting in the chair. Pretty sure the last time I had bangs I was reading The Babysitter's Club books.

So be brutally honest. If it's a no go, I can sweep them to the side instead of wearing straight until they grow out. I *think* I like them; it's just different than what I'm used to.

Excuse my dopey expression--I still don't feel great.

I think it looks good. I tend to alternate wearing them down and to the side when they're that length just to change things up.

I like side swept bangs more, in general. You could play around with both styles and see which one feels more "you".

Yeah I'm not used to having something on my forehead. I don't have to work until Tuesday, so I have a couple days at home to play around with it and see which one looks better.

I guess my things is I have worn side-swept bangs for the last....8 years? (I never had a defined "bang area," but would have bangs cut that were a little longer and I wore to the side). So that style isn't new to me, and I like it, but I was just tired of it and thought I'd try something new. But I think side-swept looks fine, and I can definitely go back to that.

Thanks for the honest opinions. I am still undecided myself. Maybe I will wear them straight for a day or two and see how I feel?

I think they're cute! They're the exact right amount, I think. Not too thick or thin.

I think if you felt more confident (smiled) you'd look better in them. I don't think they are bad at all. First day bangs are always a shock.

Yeah I usually don't look so awkward, I am still getting over an illness that kicked my butt and don't feel well lol. Totally a weird face.

Yeah, I think I am most excited to finally have more than one way to wear my hair. That might be the only thing I miss about having long hair--the options of what to do with it.

Thanks for the honest opinions, folks. That's what I wanted and I know co-workers or friends wouldn't be totally honest because they'd be scared of hurting my feelings. (My feelings are not hurt at all btw, I am glad I got honest opinions).

I would give them the slightest touch of curl (under and to the side) with a flat iron and I would sweep them off to the side.

I'd probably do side swept since, like someone else said, it tends to soften features. Give it a few days, try out different things. I give you lots of props because I'm way too chicken to try bangs. Work it!

Aww you guys are too kind. I am still feeling sickly and am making a weird face lol.

I think the advice of give it a few days that many of you have mentioned is good advice and I will do that. I can try it out the next couple of days without anyone I know from work seeing me lol. I can also try curling them under too.

You look cute.  They are a good length so you could sweep them to the side or wear them down.
