My iPhone 4 which has been my constant companion for 2.5 years now has a badly cracked screen. I have Verizon so I am eligible for an "upgrade." Should I buy a cheap iPhone 4 with new 2 year contract? Spend more for the iPhone 4S? Even more for the iPhone 5? Or something else.

I don't like to pay more than $100 for a phone so I would re-up and get the best/ most affordable smart phone out. I'm assuming the new iPhone will more than $100 so I would vote for an older model.
I know that probably isn't a popular decision though. I could care less if I had an iPhone... says the girl using a droid.
We FaceTime regularly with family and the iPhone is my camera which is the main reason I want to stay with the iPhone although I might change.
I'm afraid the 5s will be put of my price range. I can't imagine spending much more than 200 on a phone. And I'd like to spend less than that.
We got 5's right when they came out on Verizon and they were $200. I would think just 5's would go down to $100-150 soon because of the 5s. I just like the screen size of the 5 and I doubt the 5s will be that much better?

Is there a huge difference between the 5 and a cheaper iPhone, like the 4s? If you want to stay with the iPhone then I would see if you can find one in your price range.
Lol. You just want me to probe with this cracked screen don't you?
I'm tempted. I'm also tempted to be cheap. Constantly conflicted.
Get the newest one. The current iOS won't run on the 4. It slows it down like crazy and a lot of the newer apps won't work without it. I would get the newest phone to be able to upgrade the OS for a while.
