During our vacation, and ever since, Andrew has been kind of annoying when it comes to eating. He'll eat meat, cheese, and carbs, but has been avoiding his veggies like the plague. He's obviously not at risk for starvation, so he eats what he wants and leaves the rest on the plate. Hmpf. So tonight I made him a plate of carrots, green beans, broccoli, and black beans. He had no choice but to eat the "yucky" stuff if he was hungry. That adorable PITA cleared his plate in record time. I ended up giving him two additional helpings too! Maybe I just need to give him two plates from now on. Let him fill up on the veggies first before I give him protein and carbs. . .
And another random, just because. My MIL always asks for lists for gift ideas for Andrew. She called the other day and asked for some book recommendations. She knows he's been really into books lately and wanted to get stuff he'd like, but didn't already have. I worked hard on a list of five books, varying from board books to longer story books, with all sorts of topics. I wanted there to be options for her. Well, I just got a package of books from her, and none of them are from the list. She did this at Christmas too. And his birthday. I make so many freaking lists for this woman, because she demands them, but she never shops off of them. Hmpf.

We have to save Alexis' favorites for last. We often start with new veggies and protiens. She can't even see food she likes or she won't eat what we give her.
We do that too even though she's a veggie lover she will likely just fill up on carbs. She gets to pick on some veggies and protein ( if it is ready) while I finish making dinner then she can have everything else.
