D is really good at putting her own pants on, like all the way on, I don't recall H doing that at this age. She can now scale the credenza like a lizard and when Michael Jackson's Beat It came on today she smacked her bare stomach because it makes a louder noise than clapping,
H is getting really good at simple math in her head. If there are 2 princesses and 3 queens how many girls are there? As long as its in relation to something she likes she is pretty good at it.
It's not much of an accomplishment, but I think it's pretty cute. G manipulates our hands to sign or make gestures so he doesn't have to. If I ask him if he wants more, he grabs my hands to make me do the sign. He uses our arms to wave to people, and puts my hand up to his mouth to blow kisses.
Wy says up please all the time. And he loves saying baby whenever he sees a baby or toddler. If you ask him where his belly button is, he will lift up his shirt and show you. He will give you a thumbs up and a high five too !
These are all really cute! Silas gives fist bumps to guys and blows kisses to girls. He feeds his fish every morning, Alex hold him up and opens the fish food and he sprinkles it in the tank. He's started to form 2 word sentences that mostly include the word go. We also got him a t-ball set and kid will legitimately spend the whole afternoon setting the ball up and then hitting it.
C's been fighting sleep lately, ever since she dropped her bedtime nursing session this week. (Insert my tears here). Tonight I went in after almost 40 min of her doing laps in her crib, and changed her diaper. While I'm pulling up her pj's, she says "mama, cuddle?" And I said "do you just need a cuddle so you can sleep?" She says "oh, ok!" Like it wasn't her idea in the first place:) we sat in the rocking chair and she proceeded to pat MY arm while I rocked her.
On our way to meet friends at the lake today, the shakira World Cup song came on the radio. When it finished, she screeched "Waka Waka!!!" repeatedly until I found it on my iPhone so we could hear it again. She then rocked out in her carseat, head bopping and feet kicking to the beat until we arrived. She's so damn cool.
Audrey has been picking up random things and depositing them all over the apartment. The other day I went to change her diaper and found the toy hippo in her diaper bin, walked by her stroller and saw our remote inside, and then I went in the master bedroom and found another toy on my nightstand. It's so cute!
When she wants me to pick her up she runs over and hugs my legs and sticks her face between them. Even though her clingyness lately is wearing on me, it makes me melt every time.
I always touch my chest and then touch her chest and say "I love you." Lately, she has started touching her chest and then touching my chest. I don't know if she gets what we're doing, but it melts my heart.
Max has been meowing all weekend. I was telling him about my friends' kitties that we were going to see on Saturday when we went over there for brunch and he started meowing, it is so cute and sounds like real meows! He also started saying "up" when he wants to be picked up, and has been understanding what "hot" and "cold" means (although he says "ice" for cold - haha) - he loves saying that things are hot. He blows on his food to cool it down, he thinks it's really fun! He is getting really good at eating with a fork, he's definitely mastered the spoon now and wants to feed himself and isn't throwing stuff on the floor anymore (yay!)
Best of all, he's just been so good with communicating lately that he is having fewer frustration tantrums, which is awesome. The look in his face when he sees that we understand and acknowledge what he is saying/feeling is so cute - such joy.
Ahhh I am really loving this age Reading the details about what your kids are doing is giving me the warm fuzzies also
