We have the Melissa and Doug one and love it. It's well made and she enjoys it. Play group has the hape and it's also excellent although a little smaller. It was my first choice but my MIL chose the Melissa and Doug for Olivia's birthday present.

Why do you like the Hape better? I'm leaning towards the M&D because it would fit well in a corner...but I like the Hape, too. Thinking KidKraft may not be our style.

I like the way it looks better I have no complaints about the M&D though and would recommend it! I was worried it would have to be in a corner but we don't have it in one now and it's fine. Both the M&D and hape are good quality in my opinion.

We have b and I love it. I like the size and that they both (or a friend?) Can easily play at it together. I was afraid it would be overkill, but they play with ALL of it. The fridge and microwave are their favorite parts. They must take after my cooking... the style is definitely more my style too.
We have a Kidcraft. WE paid our neighbor's son to put it together after hearing it took our friend FOUR hours to put it together. I love it, its so well made and sturdy. The boys slam the shit out of the doors all day long, stand on them, and bang on it. Its still in perfect condition.

And Looking at the other 2 I feel like they'd get bored with it easier, but maybe that's because they're already used to b? Ds loves cooking on the stove and then pretending its too hot and putting it in the fridge. He also really likes sorting the food and learning which goes in the fridge vs freezer vs cabinet. I like that there's also more than enough room to store ALL of their pots and pans, tea pot, and all of their play food so there's one less mess to figure out where to store!
They are all cute but I would be drawn to pick the most colorful one to draw their attention. I feel like they wouldn't appreciate the white one until they were much older?

The boys love covering their faces and having me ask, "Where's Henry?! Where's Jack?!" Like peek a-boo except they don't take the blanket or whatever off until I say, "there he is!!" They don't quite get it

So cute!
I thought of you the other day because there was a mom w/ twin boys about our kiddos age at the indoor play place and I was amazed at her herding skills. Somehow she kept them together the whole time but she was working hard :-)

Sounds about right H came with me to the Children's Museum today and it is SO MUCH easier with 2 people!
If you opt for the M&D one you can get it through a co-op group for 50% off M&D website price (so, $65). The ordering is done through M&D and I've never had a problem. Everything ships directly from them within 48 hours. Let me know if you want the link to the co-op group. I personally have a hard time picking between all three so it'd be a coin toss for me.
