How about Colorado Springs? ;-) No one lives down this way. All the cool people are up north!
i'm down for a bit of a drive, as long as it's still a day trip so I don't have to board my dogs.
Then the Springs is a great place for you! The drive isn't bad at all (I-25 the whole way) and we have a ton to do. Have you ever seen Garden of the Gods? It's beautiful!
I have two things to add to this thread (well three, if my intense jealousy counts)! 1) Garden of the Gods is beautiful! 2) I can't stop laughing at lb2006. Until this thread, I had no idea there was a Denver, NC, but if I'm ever in the area, I'll let you know.
Alas, I will be in Breckenridge for Oktoberfest on the 14th and 15th. BUT! They have alcohol and a 5k trail run, if anyone wants to have the meet-up there.

I'll be in Steamboat that weekend crewing for the RRR 50mile race...my first true ultra experience, granted I'll only be filling up water bottles and such. I'm still super pumped.

That sounds awesome! Perhaps we should do a different weekend once the race season ends. Sounds like people have a lot going on at the moment!

Even just October works better on my calendar - races kind of die off and the snow isn't a for sure so we plan everything last minute.
Also -- how many of you have kids? I'm feeling very childless, atm.
