Any runners here with low arches? I see all these new, lightweight, colourful running shoes in stores, but none seem acceptable for someone with low arches. I've been running in Saucony Guides, but I don't like the newer ones as much.
I used to wear the Addidas Supernova , but recently switched to Brooks Adrenaline GTS 13. Aside from having a very low arch, I have narrow feet- not in width, but top to bottom. I could tell right away the Brooks heel cup felt very secure and stable.
My feet are totally flat and I now have custom orthotics (and a neutral shoe), but the first time I was fitted, prior to getting my orthotics, I was put in the Asics GT 2000s. I thought they had good arch support. But I also have bunions, which I didn't know about when I was fitted, and they didn't do anything for those. So I wasn't able to wear them for long, unfortunately. I love Asics.
Brooks makes one of their Pure Project shoes for overpronators. Cadence maybe? I went from Ariel to Adrenaline to these. They don't have a long life though and less control than more substantial shoes.
