I get this sometimes. I think I just have a sensitive stomach and when I push my body sometimes my stomach doesn't react well. I try to drink plenty of water (sometimes this is easier than others) and not eat something that might affect my stomach before and right after I run.

i had a small steak the other day and ran 3 hours later. it did not go well.
point being, you really need to monitor what youre eating the day of your long runs. when is your race? hopefully you have time to play with your diet and figure out what works for you and what doesnt. it really is trial and error, but rest assured you arent alone. my stomach kills me after runs a lot of the time.

Did you have any of the recalled Chobani yogurt in the last couple of days? I think that's been causing me some stomach issues this week. I literally almost threw up on my Wednesday short run and I never do that.
I guess I could have been dehydrated... I had stuffed green pepper 3.5+ hours before the run. I didn't run until ~9:30ish last night and it was quite cool out which felt great!
Thanks for the replies, it's somewhat reassuring that I'm not alone!
Ugh. No way could I run after eating green peppers. I save heavy eating post-runs. I ran one time after eating kale and now greens are banned before runs.
I also get nauseated from dehydration and if my electrolytes are out of whack. Depending on the weather, it's surprisingly easy for me to be ill if I don't fuel correctly.

I have a very sensitive stomach, and the food I eat for dinner 10-12 hours before a morning long run can affect me. I have to keep it to easily digestible foods like pasta, pizza, chicken with potatoes, etc.
