First I had to scramble last night to get the house ready for a showing this morning. So I was exhausted and had to wake the kids up 2 hrs early. They did great though even though the people stayed 40 min past their appt time so we were in the car a looking time.
I fixed them messy pasta for lunch that they were going to town on when I get a call from the realtor that the people want to see the house again in an HOUR. Do they realize how messy two toddlers can get a house in an hr?!?! So I put my bra and pants back on lol and scrambled to get ready and take down all the play yard panels i had just put back up yo block the huge fireplace. Manage to get the kids to the garage door, open the door, and there's a damn woodchuck in my garage!!
Linus is calling the "doggy" while I'm trying not to drop Fiona and everything. So I herd them to the front door, open it and get Linus down the first step, turn around and close the house door and he fell down the second step and had blood dripping down his leg and was screaming. We get fiona in and he started to settle down and ran into the damn open car door and hit his head right on the corner where he just hurt it Sunday.
I still had to go inside and grab more stuff and the realtor pulls up. I gave Linus a wash cloth and he was fine until he took it off and started screaming about blood.
Sigh... its been an hr, they're both asleep the back seat and I'm sitting in the taco bell parking lot terrified to move! These people had better make an offer after this!
update: They put in an offer! Our realtor wouldn't go into details over the phone, but just based on the little he told us it seems that they're offering 9% under our asking. So not awesome, but he did say it was "a good starting point". We need to do some research because he is a dual agent and the people DH talked to at work said he should be willing to negotiate his commission now as well without a full price offer. Plus, they're his buyers, so he obviously knows that they're willing to negotiate if he said "starting point".
I feel your pain, although two kids definitely makes it worse! Our house is for sale (by owner) and we were supposed to have a showing last night with very little time between me getting home from work and them arriving. I had to get home, change, load up the dog and her crate and things and then go get Edie and drive around for awhile. The people who were to come and see the house... yeah they no-showed. DH called him and he said 'Oh, yeah, sorrry, we're not interested" RAGE.
I hope Linus is okay, too. Keep us posted on the house, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Whew, sorry, right after I posted the realtor texted me that they were done and linus woke up so I high tailed it home. They're asking details about our internet, etc. so fingers crossed! Linus is ok. He's just limping a little bit, but not enough to stop him from running around now. It didn't bleed long, but I think it just scared him. He usually has head injuries, so I don't think he's used to actually seeing the blood.
katfco I just mean that ALL pasta is messy with my kids lol. I take that back... they like buttered noodles and those are NOT messy. It was just the WORST thing for them to be eating to have to be in a hurry! They were absolutely covered in marinara sauce. Although the barilla entrees are a busy/lazy mom's DREAM. That was the first time I fixed one and you can't beat spur of the moment pasta in 60 seconds.

got it. When I read "messy pasta" I was thinking, "Is there a pasta that's even messier than the regular kind??"
It sounds like wanting those details is a good thing. Fingers crossed!
