Sorry to admit this but I could noootttt get through this book. I don't know why, I think it was the writing style. I'd love to see the movie to see how it ends.
I'm glad Hollywood is diving into books lately. Time for some fresh material.

That looks really good! I'm going to have to get the book. My friend told me about it and I've been slacking on my reading, but I bet I'll devour that one.

It's one of my all time favorites (in case my enthusiasm here didn't give that away, lol).

I couldn't get into it, either. I should try again though.
There is a part of me that thinks it is so wrong for this to be made into a movie.
That said, I will totally watch it.
I used to be pretty anti-bookintomovie.
But if you look at them as separate entities it helps a lot. I try not to compare the two a lot and focus on what makes each enjoyable/unique/etc.
The kumbaya of media, if you will, lol.
I don't genereally care, nor do I mind when movies depart from the books in even significant ways. But something about THIS book, with all the talk of the power of WORDSSSS.... read the boookkkk. *sigh*
You should only be able to get a ticket to the movie if you've already read the book.

I thought the trailer got a little cheesy in the middle with the voiceover, but that otherwise this looks really good. Though I also was a bit worried that it opened with her voiceover -- I hope they haven't changed the narrator! That was such a powerful aspect of the book.
I'm always thinking about teaching this book. I love it. so. much. Unfortunately, it is kind of long and I teach middle school (6th grade this year). The writing is SO beautiful. I love the figurative language and love love love death as the narrator. I'm excited for the movie, but also nervous that it won't be a good representation of the book.
