For those pregnant - best baby moments

Me- the first couple of days at home when they are still super curled up and sleepy and snuggly. 

For those pg with number 2 - seeing how much Henry adored Clare makes me melt.

baby time- milky smiles when they're all snuggled up to you.
toddler/preschool- hugs, kisses, and snuggles while reading bedtime stories.

Best part about having 2 is when they play together and even better, when they teach other. Older is going to be teaching Younger all sorts of cool stuff.

The limp passed out milk coma when you could lift their arms and legs and they'd just flop down. Lol. C was always in motion when awake.

The startle reflex. And slow lowering of arms as legs after. My dad and I would laugh forever when she'd do it.

Smiles and laughs of course. Snuggled sleepy time.

I LOVE the newborn stretches when they're legs are all curled up and they stick their little butts out.

Right now I love when she comes up to me and says "you're my best girl ever!"

So many. I loved the way Henry's head fit right in the hollow of my collarbones and how he'd curl toward me to sleep. He also did this funny moving his neck and little scrunched up face back and forth move that made him look like a little baby turtle.

When he got a little older, I died with love every time he laughed in his sleep. And his breath was so sweet. It smelled like fresh mangos.

Now I love it when he holds my hand at night. And when he runs into my arms at the end of the day or looks for me pretty much ever, I just can't believe he's mine and that he loves me back.

OH! And in the morning when she first wakes up happy and smiley ready to meet the world! And when I get home from work and she does this silly grin and laugh and is so excited to see me! Her little but wiggles so fast when she crawls to me

And when she stares so intently at something and is concentrating so hard you just know that little mind is absorbing so much and she's learning something new!

The way her head fits my shoulder perfectly. The stunned face she makes when she rolls over. Her squeals of pure delight when jumping in her jumperoo.

Plus baby smiles. Baby smiles are the best thing ever.

Oh, and for a few weeks after she was born D's leg vibrated when she peed. It was the cutest thing ever, we called it her puppy pee shake lol

Rocking a sleeping baby on your chest, feeling their soft cheeks and puff ball hair. Can't beat it.

I used to sing the Beauty and the Beast song to my ds when he was little and would cry. For some reason that was the ONLY song that would make him stop crying. I remember one day he was about 2.5 and in the bath and he look at me and started singing it back to me. Of course the words were all wrong, but the melody was there and I knew what he was doing. I totally started bawling!

The beginning is rough but it is so worth it!

They are all the best as babies - nursing, snuggling, cooing, smiles. I love my sleep (A LOT) but when I had Isaiah it was like a switch was flipped. I remember one rough night when he was up a lot and I went in at like 2-3 a.m. and saw him lying in his crib, looking up at me and crying. And I just scooped him up and said "I would wake up a million times a night for you." And I totally meant it. I never had that feeling before until I had a baby.

They look at you like you are in charge and totally know what you're doing. It gives you more confidence knowing how much they trust you.

And then when you pick them up and they bury their head into your shoulder like "thank God you're here."
