on most of my runs i will spend about 5 minutes thinking about what i am thankful for. usually its something fitness related (since hey - i am running!) but not always.
post things you are thankful for (can be H&F or not)
I am thankful that my body has taken everything i have thrown at it - it may not always like it but somehow it manages to pull through!
I try to do this on my runs too:) I'm thinking of starting a gratitude journal.
I'm thankful that I started running a year ago - running has given me a daily sense of accomplishment I'm also thankful for my DH and his support for my running and everything else:)
I am thankful that we have all that we have--there are a lot of days when I compare myself to others--they have a nice house, they go on more vacations, they are skinnier than me, they have better furniture, etc. But I have a house with a POOL. We vacation at least once a year. We have food in our fridge, two working cars, beds to sleep in, and a roof over our heads and we are healthy. So many people do not have that.
For my husband. His support encouragement and patience thru all my workouts, gear, healthy eating, higher grocery bills for healthier and more food lol, early workout times, etc is amazing. He is my number 1 supporter and fan and I couldn't do it daily without his cheering me in and support. I'm thankful of the gains I've made since restarting it all after my car accident. I swear I'm better now than I was before the accident

I am thankful that one of the chickens finally laid eggs!
Seriously, I am beyond thankful to live in a town and neighborhood where I can have my chickens without having any issues from a HOA or the city. They've been such a fun addition to our family. And I'm thankful that DH is on board with my new hobby.
Except that we lost my oldest DD's pet chicken Monday night and it was heartbreaking. She was the funky looking one. Of course DH and the girls are on their way right now to select two pullets to replace her. Yay for more chickens.
I'm also thankful that my girls love to cook. Oldest DD had a friend invite her over yesterday and she turned her down because she was in the middle of making a batch of bread and butter pickles. Love my kiddos!
The thankful thought I had as soon as I finished running today was, "I don't have to do that again until Saturday...yay!"
This is a nice post. I get too caught in the "yeah, but I don't have" game. I'm thankful that my family is so supportive of my running. I'm thankful that my oldest daughter makes stupid mistakes but actually seems to learn from them. I'm thankful that my sister is happy.
Shallow: I am thankful that my body has bounced back pretty easily from pregnancy. I know I still have more to go, but I feel OK wearing a bikini and I do bask in the 'you look great!' comments I get every now and then.
Un-shallow: I am thankful for how supportive my family is of everything I do and always being my biggest cheerleaders
This is a nice post. I'm so thankful for my husband and daughter. I could list reasons, but I feel like it wouldn't capture how essential they are to every nuanced detail in my life. I'm thankful for our health, & that my daughter doesn't know what hungry or afraid feels like.

I am thankful that I have a healthy & happy family, both immediate & extended. And that we enjoy spending time together. For DH, my amazing sister, & my boys. I love my life & feel very lucky for what we have.
On a running related note, I'm so happy that I'm healthy/not injured this year. I broke a bone in my foot at this time last year, & it took me six months to run again. You don't miss it until it's absolutely not an option.

I just finished a hard walk pushing my 4 month old son and was thinking the same thing. I am thankful that I can have the energy to go out in the day and spend quality time with my son. Even though he sleeps through it, I will always consider it a special time between us and hope to inspire him to have a healthy lifestyle.
I'm thankful for: -my wonderful family, especially my DH and my puppy -my Aunt, who is the strongest person I know, who is in her third battle with breast cancer, and the spa day we are having together tomorrow -my new-found love for exercising again; I used to think that swimming was the only exercise I could enjoy, but boy was I wrong!

I'm thankful my babies have slept 4-5 hour stretches the past 3 nights! I'm also thankful they are thriving and healthy. Twin pregnancies don't always turn out so easy.
I'm thankful I am able to run under 10 minute miles already. Now I just need time to run more!
I am very thankful that we are finally in a place with job security and permanence if we want it to be. This is good because now I can refocus on my health and fitness and not live in a constant state of panic and disorder, which has been horrible for my mental and physical health.
I am also thankful that the Tour and Olympics are coming up so I have something to watch while on the bike trainer.

I'm thankful for my running buddies. The three girls I run/workout with at 5:30 in the morning are awesome and make my fitness journey much more enjoyable!
I'm also thankful for my amazing DH and DDs. I definitely won the lottery with them!
I am thankful that I am able to work out and for my awesome instructors. I'm probably just a face in the crowd to them, but they are super motivational and I push myself harder because of that.
Also, I am thankful it will be a balmy 85 when my family comes to visit next week--a full 20 degrees cooler than earlier this week.
