I get so annoyed when I need to email someone and the email address listed on a company website doesn't work. Grr. It is your freaking job. Make sure your contact info is current and operational. FFS. Then I have to make calls. Emailing is faster and easier and makes it easier on everyone to attach things and answer as they are able.

This could be viewed at flameful. Flame away.
My employer allows 13 paid holidays per year. They announced those holidays this week. We have a full week off between Christmas and NYE (yay), but instead of taking Labor day off which is a summer holiday, we have MLK, Jr day off which is 2 weeks after we have a week off and in the winter. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a 3-day weekend when it's beautiful outside, not in the dead of winter after I just had a week off. We will go from July to November with no holidays.
My theory is that they are hung up on an incident that happened YEARS ago and are still trying to make up for it.
Your point has been made. Give us our summer 3-day weekend!

Also - Credit card companies in general. I get that they need to make money. I think they make a good plenty by charging reasonable interest. We got a statement in the mail last week that a card The H had before we got married that currently had zero balance now had a $55 'annual fee' being charged. Fuck that. We called and they took it off explaining that they do that so people call and update their contact information. Bullshit. You do that because people are too lazy to call and ask for it to be taken off and because if it is a card being used or that has a balance.. people won't notice and will pay it. They can go to hell.

When there is a line of cars waiting for an entrance/exit ramp and some late-lane-jumper merges over at the last second and just assumes the car about to be behind them will make space. Well that happened yesterday on my way home and caused a 3-car accident because the car behind him couldn't stop in time and got rear ended by the one behind him. Stupid lane-jumpers! They aren't just inconsiderate but dangerous, too!
I realize it's a pain to wait in the line of cars, but it's much safer and nicer than merging unexpectedly and assuming everyone's reactions and brakes are working effectively. I just really hate inconsiderate drivers!
The AT&T commercial that touts being 42 seconds faster. I'm sorry, forty two seconds does not matter. And they have been playing the hell out of this commercial on all the radio stations.

I especially hate that in the summer here when there are so many motorcycles on the road. It might look from the side like the other car could get over but there could very easily be a motorcycle beside them that they either don't know about or don't want to hit. Either way it's going to end badly.

I'm at a disability rights conference and people brought their teenagers. Said teenagers are not disabled, but are wearing short gym shorts and t shirts. Not appropriate!

And we had them cancel/close the account.
Good for you!
Credit Cards piss me off, and if I could I'd cancel them all!
I just want to go back to the stone-age and pay for things with cash. And maybe I'm jaded after this whole purse fiasco.
I'm fighting with the county b/c they assessed my house WAY high. I have literally the same, exact house as a friend down the street and her's is assessed at almost $100k lower than mine. I have some upgrades that she doesn't, so I would be okay with a little difference, but there sure as hell is not $100k worth of upgrades in my house. Anyway, they were supposed to call with an update by 4/30, then 5/31. Now it's 7/20 b/c their deadline is 7/26.
THEN, insurance is giving my PT a hard time about paying. Not sure what's going on there, I need to call them still. On top of that, the Flexinator that the PT put in my house is apparently also not being covered by insurance, so that needs to go...and from what I understand, I was not supposed to be charged at all for that. Sure that can be cleared up easily.
Lastly, I still haven't heard a thing about getting my MRI scheduled. I called on Tues to let them know that I will take the first available appt, regardless of day/time (initially I restricted to anything besides the first week of July)...still no call back. How freakin' hard is it to schedule an MRI??! I mean, even if they called and said it's a two month wait, at least it's scheduled!
