I have the stretch marks which my husband so kindly commented on the other night. I looked down the other day and there is one small spider vein on my thigh. I freaked out and started yelling at my leg "this better be it there will be NO MORE" because I am a lunatic.
ha. i would too, which is why i was annoyed. i mean, i don't have to show my stomach to anyone. but my legs, well, wtf am i supposed to do in the summer?
i wasn't joking about saving up for laser treatment.
i mean, it's not chemical weapons in syria, but i'm irritated.
My response was intended to be a bit like Rex's. I have some veins here and there from various things. They just become part of your normal. They'll often fade, too. It was intended to be comforting. I'm sorry about your veins.
oh, i see. thank you.
i thought you were like "uh, stop complaining you asshole." which i am, but i own it.

Oh no. I didn't know these were a side effect from pregnancy. I'm not pregnant but I can't take anymore. The backs of my knees have been blue/black since high school sailing and waitressing in university.
cville, no laser treatment needed. a simple saline injection can get rid of them.
I've had spider veins since high school and they just keep getting worse. They're horrible on my legs (thighs, knees, calves, ankles) but I also recently noticed them on my lower back and a few light ones on my stomach, around my nose...it sucks. I rarely wear shorts or dresses because I'm also really pale and they're super obvious.
Annie, have you tried sclerotherapy? I asked a derm about this once and he told me that they're likely to come back even if you have it done.
