I take b to stoytime/playgroup at the library Tuesday and Thursday mornings. She loves it, but there are a ton of new people on Tuesday's recently who don't follow the rules and don't pay attention to their kids during the playtime. So irritating.
The group is for birth-2 (though most kids stay until closer to 2.5/3 because the next group is a bit too advanced) but older siblings are welcome too. Most of them are fantastic, watching out for the little ones, letting them pick toys first, etc. Today this one girl, about 6 I would guess, was birding the toys from the babies and her mom wasn't doing anything. She had a pile in front of her and any time a fiddler would try to pick up one of them (keep in mind they're just in a pile shes not actually playing with/holding any of them) she would litterally lay on top of them all until the kid would give up and go away. Every time B tried I just told her to go pick something else but I seriously wanted to tell this brat she needed to share. And mom wasn't doing a damn thing about it. This girl was old enough to know better. And when one of the fiddlers made off with a ball when she wasn't looking she tried to take it back from him! What a little snot.
And this other toddler thee toys at me. No big deal, he's a toddler. But his mom wasn't doing anything! Watch your kid, lady! It's not my job to discipline him! I took the toys away and he wandered off.
And seriously, why do you think it's ok to feed your kid durring playgroup? It was stated at the beginning that food needs to be eaten elsewhere. (Bottles being the exception.) Your kid can wait for a cracker or you can leave playgroup. Once the other kids see your munching away, they're all going to want some. What if someone has an allergy or dietary restrictions? Suck it up! (There's a tiled sitting area just outside the meeting room, all food in the library is supposed to be eaten there.)

Gah! (My kindle autocorrected that to gay) there are so many typos in my post! I f-ing hate the autocorrect on the kindle! It is always correcting what I type to the wrong damn word and if I don't catch it right away it is so difficult to fix.
we ran into the snack thing yesterday at the playpark. There are tables and they are supposed to eat there but these 2 boys had bags of cheerio mix that they were spilling everywhere. I might've loudly said- no luke you can't have that you're allergic... then the mom came to clean it all up and apologize.

It must be contagious.
The older kids at the 2 and under storytime at our library drove me crazy today.
One pushed G down to get him away from a toy he wanted. His mom was standing there on her phone. I got on to the older boy and told him not to push babies. His mom then came over and made him apologize. I kind of felt guilty, but then not really since a) he's a year older than the cut off age for that story time and b) he pushed G really hard and knocked him down. 3 year old jerk.

Lol. Autocorrect makes it look like I'm typing drunk most of the time.
One of my friends is guilty of this with her daughter. They came over for a play date one day and the little girl brought some toys with her. She was playing with all of Violet's toys, obviously, because we were at our house. But she wouldn't let Violet touch her toys. Her mom wasn't saying anything!! I said to her "please share, we are letting you play with all of our toys." And the mom was like she's not very good at sharing. I said "it's a learned skill."

And I really like this girl. But seriously?
This wasn't me was it? Ha.
Haha, oh my gosh, no!!! Your little lady loves to share. Don't you remember her feeding Violet her snack on the front porch? That was some very good sharing!!
