It's lovebug "season" here as well but it's not too bad. We've definitely had years where they are EVERYWHERE and it's incredibly annoying. I always feel a bit sad for the single lovebug.

I have, thankfully, never seen a lovebug. However, after looking at pictures of them, I have decided that the person who named them lovebugs has a cruel, cruel sense of humor.
We have these assholes mating all over the place right now . They get butt to butt too and decide to do their thing in the most irritating places, like our front door jam.

Ugh. Yes, they are here. Thankfully I don't drive any long stretches that are filled with them. They seem to be worse on long stretches of road like the turnpike/I4/95..
just in case you didn't know, wet dryer sheets will get them off your car easily. make sure you wash the soap that comes off the dryer sheet off your car though. My Dad told me this tip about 2 years ago and my life has never been the same during lovebug season.
