Crazy uncle's exwife who he's bringing as his date called FI just now and asked if she can bring a friend who will be in town. The GALL of these people. He said no by the way. She'll bring the friend anyways, we're counting on it. We're assuming it is a man friend so she can cause drama.

Ugh! Scream as needed, grab a glass of something to soothe your nerves, and ask an intimidating-looking person to keep an eye out for the crazy and remove as needed!

I know it's hard, but try not to worry about things like this. You're getting married and that's the most important part.
Your dress will be done, and even if it isn't you can still get married.
Who cares if she brings someone? You've got bigger and better things to worry about, like actually enjoying your wedding.
Look, I had a really bad ear infection 4 days before my wedding day. The doctor gave me horse pills and shot in the rear-end and my mom told me I was getting married if they had to wheel me down the aisle. If I can make it through a fever on my wedding day, you can make it through this. Trust me.

I want to saw off my hips. They seriously suck. If I wear Spanx, the dress still pulls a bit, if I don't wear them it's a bit baggy in the hips. Which is better? Because I can tell you that we've reached the end of alterations - no more. I should have picked a dress that fit my body type better.
I told FI that if his uncle or anyone related to him tries to pull anymore nonsense, they're getting uninvited. Assholes. I think we might have encountered a first - an uninvited guest wanting to then invite someone else. I will acknowledge that half my annoyance stems from the fact that FI was diplomatic to her in his answer. I so wanted him to inform her just how rude she was in even asking. Damn his maturity.
I'm going to be bold and say it's not your hips, it's not the dress, it's the alterations. I wish we could send mel to you. Or that I could send my tailor to you.
You will get through this. I think there needs to be a glass of something in your hand as soon as the ceremony is over.
Today is a new day. I'm going to wear the Spanx since I don't think the pulling will be noticeable to anyone but me. I can always disguise it with my bouquet in pictures. I'd rather it feel like the dress fits through the hips. Plus I kinda need the compression it provides me since I'll be on my feet a lot. I plan to wear my lower-leg compression sock as well. Sexxxy.

I'm so excited for you, bowies! but WTF at the drama-llama showing up?! No matter if your dress pulls a little or if it's a little baggy - you're going to look stunning.

Tiramisu is right, your body is just fine. It really doesn't matter at this point though. Go for the spanx and use your bouquet or a strategically placed FI for pics. Youre going to look gorgeous no matter what! You have compression socks on which are basically penis magnets.
Could you get a long massage and do some relaxation stuff in the next few days? Would that help you at all? Because your wedding will be great. Avoid all the drama, stick with FI, wear the spanx and have a good time. Easier said than done, I know. hugsssss
Take a deep breath. It will be fine. Your hem will be done and only you will know about the hip thing. Trust me everyone will be looking at your smiling happy face.
Don't waste time with any of the drama. Whoever's sibling is this crazy uncle has wrangling duty.
Crazy story from my wedding my crazy uncle got to drunk on tequila and threw up in a potted palm (Klassy I know) My Aunt was so angry at him that she took him back to their hotel. I never saw them leave or knew about the palm tree incident until months later.
I had a blast, the only person I had eyes for was my H.
Know that Your wedding will be awesome. You will look beautiful and you could wear a sack and your future H will think you are stunning. You will absolutely glow this weekend.
Side note: I am interested to know what you actually look like. I just think you look like tina fey because of your funny siggy pic.

Yes! I was so stressed during the last few days leading up to my wedding. One of my bridesmaids booked a massage for me for the day before. I fought her on it, said I didn't have time, and she was like, "I don't want to hear it. You're doing this." It was totally worth it, and honestly, it did help.
It will all work out, bowies. I'm really excited for you.
I feel better about the crazies this morning. I told FI not to tell me anything else that happens - just handle it. This will likely be the first and last time I'm around the crazy XW so I can handle 4 hours of her. Or avoid her full stop. The weirdest thing about all of this? Their daughter - the redneck wedding from last year - is graduating from police academy on Saturday...and her parents are attending our wedding instead. That's straight-up strange, right?
Off topic a bit, but FI surprised me this morning by telling me that if I want to move closer to BFF so we can raise our families together, he will do everything in his power to make that happen. Blew me away.

I have a dress! I do like it without the Spanx now that it has been pressed out. I will need to wear a strapless bra underneath though since those sewn in cups do not support me in the least. I can handle that.
