I swept, vacuumed and mopped all the floors in the entry, kitchen, hall and living room. I SWEAR I did it. I can still faintly smell the Swiffer mop scent.
Black and white marble in the kitchen and entry (the black shows everything) and regular wood in the hall and living room (and a rug).
There are just pieces of dried fruit, a mark from a smushed grape, random crumbs, torn up pieces of tissue (I don't even know where he got tissues) everywhere! Luckily the dog doesn't shed or I would be tearing my hair out. Or just constantly walking around with my vacuum, a maniacal look in my eyes and a slightly hysterical laugh.

I swept my floors and went to clean the bathtub. Came back out to the living room and there were graham bunnies all over the floor. Really kid? I feel your pain.

That last part is me everyday. I vacuum every freaking day, sometimes twice. It never ends and I look quite crazed 90 percent of time. I decided not to vacuum for the second time while Matt's doing bathtime, and to make me regret my decision, Bruce is rubbing upside down on his back into the rug while sounding like a gremlin.

I stopped using the suction cup bowls we have because Jack wanted a plate like we eat on. So I got him some plastic plates from Ikea. Dinner was teriyaki stir fry with rice. He was happily eating until he abruptly decided he was done and he flung the plate behind him. Rice and teriyaki sauce ALL over the floor, wall, and blinds. And then he looked at me like "don't get mad, mama, remember how cute I am". Grrrr argh.
I love our Bissell sweeper. It's light and battery pack powered, so I can use it on any little thing. We had a Shark vacuum for this purpose also, but it recently died. The upside is the kids can use it too and think it is a fun toy to clean up crumbs.

It's crazy. I vacuum every night and then use the Bona mop in the kitchen and on the wood floors in the living room. It's a constant battle.
When my hair was shedding like a Siberian Husky in summer last year, my H bought me a Mint floor cleaner. I love that thing. I still use it occasionally downstairs but it works wonders upstairs. I put that sucker on in my room. Spray the Bona wood spray on the pad and the floor and it goes to town. Gets under the bed and everything.
