There are a couple of girls in my classes that I could potentially see being friends with. One is a military wife that just moved here and her husband works in the same place H does.
I do talk with them outside of class but I don't know what to do next. Both of them have kids and I would really like to make friends out here. What do I do? I don't want to seem to eager lol.
Sometime when you're talking outside of class say "Hey, want to go grab some coffee/lunch/come over with your kids sometime?"
No big deal
Being overeager would be like "HAY WANT TO HAVE A SLUMBER PARTY RIGHT NOW WE CAN ALL BRAID EACH OTHERS HAIR AND TELL GHOST STORIES AND OMG I LOVE YOU DONT EVER LEAVE!!!1!"

Honestly, if someone asked me if I'd like a coffee, I'd be thrilled, even if it turned out that we didn't have anything in common. It's nice to be thought of as a potential friend. Go for it!

Oh, I'm going to keep an eye on this thread. I also need tips on how to make friends!
I moved 3 months ago and work from home, and meeting new people has been more challenging than I expected. I took my toddler to the park a few weeks ago and met a really nice couple with an infant. We talked for awhile and they mentioned they had recently moved here also. I was trying to think of ways to say "Hey, let's get together! Let's be friends!" without sounding too needy and desperate, lol.
