I think the issue, or at least part of the issue, is that it's not "one piece of the metal that came from the towers" it's a piece that was "picked up, trimmed, polished, the word 'Jesus' was carved on top of it, it was prayed over in front of a church for five years"

If it were just a 't' of steel rubble that was included in the memorial I can see that, but this is a group of Christians making this out to be something bigger than that, basically saying 'hey look, OUR God was here, WE'RE the victims' and that's what's offensive to me. There were a million other pieces of bent steel and chunks of concrete that went straight to the dump. I don't believe in it or subscribe to it either as a symbol, but it still means something to me and to millions of other people, and I don't like what that meaning is just like I don't like the Union Jack Flag or the swastika (extreme extreme examples I know but it's all I could think of).

But yeah, I don't mean to 'argue' with you either so let's just agree to disagree!

I get you, and I totally respect your opinion, and can agree to disagree.  I keep trying to find the right words to say, but I am falling short.  I am definitely not trying to defend the crazies that try to push stuff on others, believe me.  If it truly offends people, then I can respect that.  I just can't stand the people that like to argue for argument sake.  Anyway, I just mean to say here, that I come in peace. lol

Are there more displays of art using materials from the actual site that have been manipulated by someone after the attack? If the answer is yes, than I think it should stay, without question. Although perhaps with some sort of notations about the alterations done to it.

ETA: I think there should be a religious display in the museum. Many people relied on their faith to make it through that day, and to cope with the aftermath as well.  Obviously, it should include all religions.
