I really don't know if I can make it out of bed today. It's my last day at school this week, but I've been up late with H every night this week prepping for a lecture he's giving at our old college. I'm so proud of him, but uggggh. I'm ready for it to be over. I don't want to hear any more run throughs.
Ollie didn't sleep at all last night. He's cutting a back molar and was just an uncomfortable mess. Which means no sleep for us.
I am really looking forward to being at my college tomorrow though. Going to visit some old professors, get my kid a new KU sweatshirt, and eat some of the delicious college cafeteria food.
Oh! And my H's conservative cousin just posted that the "new pope is a dope!" and that he's pandering because he said you can still get in to heaven if you don't believe in god.
Then her even more conservative friend chimed in with an article basically saying, "Oh don't worry, atheists still go to hell!"
I really want to comment with "Man, H is going to be so hot down there!"

I'm on vacation, so I'm trying to pretend that I'm not nocturnal. I've been awake since about 3:30 this morning. My parents, brother, BFF and her boyfriend are all showing up sometime this afternoon. It's going to be an awesome day!
Last night I was watching Modern Dads on A&E. When it ended we go to bed and I pick up my phone and Modern Dads was on my Google search. I did not search for Modern Dads. How does that happen? I don't understand technology at all.
It's looking like J and I are going to be getting a motorcycle. His friend is selling his, and it's pretty close to what we wanted. We're test-riding it Sunday. It's supposed to be gorgeous out. I can't wait.

I am inordinately excited that the high is only 83 today and 70 tomorrow!! I can't even tell you how happy this makes me after 4+ days of highs of 97. Tomorrow night will be perfect weather to go to the Pumpkin Festival.

I work with a lot of young people. Yesterday this conversation happened.
Me: my husband blah blah blah Coworker: wait, you're married? How old are you? Me: 30 Coworker: you're 30!? I had no idea. Me: yep. Coworker: wow, does it weird you out to think in 10 yrs you'll be 40? 40 is like my mom's age. Me:

Hahahahahaaaa.
I'm going to be 40 in a year and two months. I work with a BUNCH of people in their early twenties now and I know in my head I'm almost as old as some of their parents, but I prefer to not think about it.
It's my birthday today, and my six month pregnant mark. I wasn't in work thirty seconds this morning and the first thing my coworker said was "Oh, your face is starting to swell!"
I'm ready to go home now. And I'm very happy about my impending four-day weekend.

I work w/a bunch of people in their early 20's (I'm 43-almost) and I find myself reacting to them kind of like they're my daughters-because they're her age. They roll their eyes the same way, are full of friend drama, cannot for the life of them pick up after themselves, etc.
It's weird that I was once the youngest at my job, then a peer, now...the work mom. *sigh*
I posted awhile ago about how to delicately tell my tenant that the house smells like cat urine. I was fearing that the cat may be in poor health since this has never been an issue in the 8 years he has rented from us. My fear was right, he had to put him down yesterday. Poor guy lost his mom last month and now his cat.
H and I are going on a mini vacation Sunday - Tuesday and I am ridiculously excited. 2 1/2 days at a resort and spa is just what I need! Massage and pool...
I'm at my wits end with H - he has been an absolute beast over work related stress and I'm very close to packing up the car, taking the kid and leaving until he gets his shit together.

I only gained 0.7lbs during my 2.5 week vacation, so I'm pretty pleased about that. I'm gonna run this afternoon for the first time in almost 3 weeks, and hopefully it won't suck. I did walk a lot on vacation, and there were a lot of steps.
H still has a bug up his butt about skipping the wedding we have next weekend so he can help his sister move. Sigh.
Hmm cookies...
Is the wedding OOT? Can he go to the wedding on Saturday and help her move on Sunday?
The wedding is not out of town, but his sister is
AND that is on top of him being OOT for work Sun-Fri. So he'd get home from NY on Friday and then head out to help his sister for the weekend. I might hulk smash him.

Come with me. DH is finishing up his quarter at school. Lucy and Hart can play with each other and we can laze around and speak nicely to each other
