I think he's making the leap that if a woman works, she'll end up with a freeloader.
These are the people that make conservative Christians seem crazy. The premise that all good christian women should be SAHM's is ridiculous.
I know! I admit, in the grand scheme of religion, I'm a conservative Christian, but I'm sometimes hesitant to talk about it with people because I'm afraid they'll think I'm like this.

If the Church would like to supplement me so we don't, ya know, lose our house, I'd love to be a SAHM and homeschool my kids. The reality is that in our economy it is vital for many that both parents work, and without postsecondary education I wouldn't be making half what I make sooooooo yeah.
