We are, not in them thankfully. I sometimes wish we lived in the mountains and then fires or flooding happens and I'm glad we are a few minutes outside.
Boulder seems to be the worst hit. Denver's just a traffic nightmare (and my roof's leaking, so have to call someone about that today). Otherwise, it's not too bad here. We get so little rain here that our infrastructure just isn't set up for it (insufficient urban drainage systems) and the clay ground doesn't absorb it fast enough, which causes flooding.
It's so infrequent that my dogs are literally afraid to go outside to pee when it's raining. And one of them is Irish, FFS. Go figure.
I'm not in CO, but we have had some serious flooding issues here. It's a monsoonal flow coming up from the south and it won't stop. We are under a flood warning for the nest 3 days and it scares the crap out of me. Our basement flooded twice in 2 weeks. We have an insurance claim out right now that we are waiting to hear back on. Two weeks ago our underpass that connects our "old town" to the "new town" was under 13 feet of water, it was closed for 4 days. It was crazy. And my neighbor's brother's egress window filled up so fast and full that it blew the window out and a mudslide came in thru the broken window into their basement. I love rain, but this kind of rain needs to stop. I think another major part of the problem is all the wildfires that these areas have had.....theres no vegetation to hold back any water.
I'm in the same area as lindy and we aren't getting it bad compared to Boulder. Some of the frontage roads in Fort Collins are flooded, mountain roads are closed off, they are evacuating CU. Crazy stuff! Thankfully Fort Collins and Loveland don't seem to get hit hard by these crazy weather occurences.*knock on wood*

Don't know if anyone is interested, but they have 3 confirmed deaths and are starting to evacuate part of the town where lindy and I live (in the mountains, not the actual city). They closed all the schools here as well. They are worried about the Big Thompson flooding. Apparently we are supposed to get more rain around 4 pm so they are trying to prepare. CRAY CRAY!
I'm good!! Thanks! My roof is leaking too and my floors are all muddy from our dumb dogs. Nothing major thankfully. Hopefully more people won't get hurt or die from this. It's so sad.

Sorry I am new and don't know this. What part of CO are you in?
