On mobile, after making a post we are testing 5 second interstitial ads. This is because on mobile we have so much less advertising than our desktop version (2 banners), we actually make a lot less money on mobile (plus the fact that the floating mobile ads are not even running third party ads right now).
We are considering other options as well, such as having a banner at the top and bottom on mobile -- but with neither of them floating on the screen. This way the ad does not stay on the screen as you scroll, but we would get two ads on the page instead of one (one being very out of the way at the far bottom, and one that you can quickly scroll past). Your input on if you like or don't like this idea is appreciated.

I would much prefer banner ads at the top and bottom! If notifications and PMs worked on the app it would be better.

Yes, all of this. The app is great for uploading photos but the mobile site has other perks.
