You know that girl who asked to borrow money from me?
She just posted on FB how she can't wait to go to the casino tonight and see a concert.
Now, I know there are so many factors to this... It could be a present from a friend. A gift from her parents. There might be a reasonable explanation for why she was begging me for $20 a couple days ago but can now afford to go to the casino.

Ok, FB is annoying me today.
Another girl just posted everything she got for her birthday (ever item a separate picture) and thanked and tagged each person who gave her something to the correct item. So you know who gave what.
WTF is wrong with people? No one cares. Well, maybe your mother, but no one else.

She probably thinks that's an acceptable alternative to thank you notes, too.

I admit I don't give thank you cards for birthday presents IF I can thank the person in person. If the present is mailed or dropped off, I mail a thank you card.
I don't know what you're really suppose to do. Am I doing it wrong?

Honestly, I don't get birthday presents from people who aren't my parents or husband, haven't in years, so I don't know. If I had a party and people came and brought me presents, I'd write thank you notes.

Damn.
(and I'm thinking of my son's birthday parties, I only get birthday presents from my husband, lol)
