I rarely go there because the food is obviously not the greatest quality but it does have a sort of junky air to it that appeals to my sickies some days. Even when not pregnant I would never get a six inch from subway or as other people tell me they do "eat half now and the rest for dinner"
I don't think subway is that filling? it seems like the bread is made of air or something and they are stingy with the cheese.
So lets vote. Are you a foot-long Fanny, a six inch Sally or a Subway avoider?

I have to order a salad because I can't have gluten.... boring!! When I did eat gluten I would order a 6inch. I could never finish a foot long and if I saved it for later it got all soggy and gross.

I rarely eat it, usually only in places like airports where there are limited choices, but when I do I eat the whole damn thing. I also *usually* get a vegetarian one so maybe it's less filling. But even if I got meat I'd eat it all probably. I also put potato chips on it.

Currently Subway has a $5 footlong special, so it's almost silly to only get a 6" for $4. If you get some for now and some for later, I would make sure not to get mayo or any sauce on the one for later as it will get soggy. Sometimes the cheese on the 'one for later' looks a little suspect a few hours later, but I usually will eat anyways.
There is a Subway in the hospital where I work, so I probably get it at least 1x/wk. They have delicious breakfast sandwiches.
As for the bread, you could try the flatbread... maybe less 'airy'?
When I was in HS/college we used to always get a foot long and eat half for lunch and half for dinner. I loved Subway back then but I think I ate it too much because it's so gross to me now. I get Jimmy Johns instead.
Last time I went there the sandwich guy went on and on about WHY would you get a 6 inch when you can get a foot long for only $1 more?? I was like because I DON'T WANT that much sandwich lay off me man!!
I had subway for dinner last night. I got the footlong since it was only $1 more, and brought the second half for lunch today.
Spicy Italian on flat bread-with spinach not lettuce. Lettuce doesn't hold up well overnight. I think the flat bread is pretty filling, but I'm not a big eater anyway.
We went to Subway for lunch the other day and I was hungry, so I thought, ok, foot long and no chips, instead of 6 in and chips.
Yeah, foot long was too much (for, like, the first time ever). Next time 6 inch. Unless we go on a day with the $5 one is something I want.
Fun Fact: When I was KU the smell of Subway was one of the only things that made me feel hurly. I had to practically run though the entryway at Home Depot to avoid the nasty smell. Once I gave birth the smell became acceptable again.
I hate Subway I think the meat is disgusting. I also don't like the way it smells in there. If I am forced to go I would get ham and cheese. I do like their cookies
I go to Publix if I want a sub and I just get 6 inch.
I wish there were an 8" option. Six isn't quite enough to satisfy, but I'm not woman enough for the whole shebang.
I only get veggie ones there.
Same, but with grilled chicken.
When Audrey was on two naps a day, I didn't eat lunch until 4:00 and could eat the whole thing. If I get it at normal lunch time around 1:00, I can only eat 3/4 of it.
For me, it depends on how hungry I am. Usually I'll just eat the 6 inch, but I always feel like I'm still hungry. Like others have said, it's just not enough to be filling.
I ate a ton of Subway in college, but hardly ever eat it anymore. It pales in comparison to the subs we'd get in New England. Forget wimpy Subway sandwiches. Give me a chicken parmesan sub from a local house of pizza anytime.
**reminding myself to be sure to order subs when I get back to Mass. next**
This post made me lol. DH stopped at subway last wknd & even after my 6" veggie & chips, I was still hungry. It doesn't help that their entire sandwiches are made from 1.5 pieces of cheese, 2 pieces of lunch meat and an entire head of iceberg.
