My family owns a farm in upstate Pennsylvania and it is truly breathtaking to go outside there and see the difference in the night's sky. I remember thinking as a kid it couldn't be real somehow, because there was just many! It was never like that back home. It looked like a fake movie set.
I camped in the Israeli desert for a few nights one summer. While I did not enjoy the outdoor camping, no bathrooms, or showers, the stars were AMAZING. No lights around for miles in many directions and we saw so many shooting stars and galaxies. So cool

Being at the cabin in Iceland was unreal. In addition to probably being a 1 on the scale, you get northern lights, too. I could never live there for long, but being there often is going to surely be treasured.
