DH decided today was the day he was going to pick a name for this LO. I had such a hard time when I was doing my research and didn't really find a name I loved. My favorite from the beginning has been Carson, but he doesn't like it. He sent me this list today: Clay, Dane, Easton, Jameson, Kipton, Leo and Maddox. He included Carson too, but just to appease me.
Leo has been his front-runner forever, but I can't see it. He's been stuck on Easton since this morning and has gotten several opinions from co-workers / neighbors who also love the name. I've never heard it, and I'm not absolutely opposed to it, but I'm still not sure. He liked Bennett too, but our last name is pronounced "panini" and I don't think all the n's work well together.
So...WDPT of Easton? Any other suggestions for names, first or middle with our last name??? I think it's about time we at least have a short list since this little guy is due in ~4 weeks.
I can't believe you are due in 4 wks........crazy.
I like Easton, it's a very nice name. I like Maddox too. Never heard of Kipton.
Naming a kid is hard business. I feel like I have no problem suggesting/nameing for someone else kid, but for your own it's so hard. I don't envy you right now.
Easton immediately made me think of baseball bats. I'm a big fan of Jameson, but my H's name is James, so it was a little too on point for us as a potential boy name. Carson would be my second choice on your list

This is me too.
We have friends who named their son Easton. I find it ok.
With a last name with 3 syllables, I'd be inclined to pick a shorter fn, so I'm liking Leo from that list.
Thanks ladies!! I appreciate any and all suggestions because I'm at a loss. kistjenn - I can't believe it either. It's flown by. I also hate naming kids, but I LOVE Caroline's name. I have absolutely no name regret and think its perfect. I'm just not getting that feeling with any boys names.

Easton is meh. Leo is o.k. but keep searching and don't give up or in yet. Check out the master boy name list on this site I like. It's not overwhelming.
MH is loving all the Leo love from you ladies. I don't hate it by any means, I'm just having trouble seeing myself using it everyday. He said his short list is now Jameson, Easton, Carson and Leo. I think for a MN, we will use DHs MN and the one he goes by (Kyle) or something very simple.

With C we tried to stay away from family names to avoid any controversy. For this LO, the only family name I would probably use (and most likely as a MN) would be my deceased grandfather's - Jack. DH has two deceased grandfathers, Louis (who he didn't know) and Clement James "Jim." DH is not a junior, but shares a first name with his dad (Christopher). We've decided we didn't want to use that for several reasons.

thedahliharpa - I'm on my phone and didn't even realize each name was a hyperlink. Just clicked on Griffin and am impressed by the write up she's done. We will have to spend some time on this site tonight. Thanks again!!
