My pap test came back abnormal, quote, "atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance with positive high risk hpv infection." Fuck. My last pap was normal - 3 yrs ago - which my healthcare provider said is the new standard if you've had normal tests. So now I need a colposcopy, I guess. I'm pretty freaked out and not super impressed. And Mr. Bang is at that birthday thing so I can't tell him till later. Hold me.
Oh, and here is great new information. Guess who had abnormal results and a leep a few years ago. E's mother! So that bitch is backing out on watching E for us next weekend AND she gave me hpv. Twatwaffle.

Colpopscopys while not super fun times, are really quick and not super painful. I coughed and it was over. All the cool kids have HPV. Try to not worry about it too much
Thanks guys I'm going to call today and see when they can schedule me, and I told my boss I'm going to use some personal time for medical stuff soon and she was fine with it so that is a relief.
Honey, I love you and I hate her for you and I hate this situation that you are in, but your anger may be ever so slightly misplaced here.
Big hugs, chica.
Oh, I know, I really do. It's entirely possible Mr. Bang has had it all along without knowing. As far as I know, there's no real way to test a guy for the high risk strains of hpv, is there? or even the lower risk ones unless he shows symptoms?

I thought I read somewhere a while back that you can have the HPV virus for years without ever showing symptoms, so you could have gotten it before Mr Bang, it just didn't cause any abnormal cells until now.
I know how you feel though, my dr called me at 8:30 at night to give me that news, so I was freaking out thinking I was going to die of cancer any day. I had the colposcopy, which showed no "high grade" abnormal cells, so I just got to get paps every 3 months or something. After about a year my body just fought it off.
