There was a little lunch thing at work. I brought cupcakes. Instead of eating with everyone else, I got my plate and ran back to my desk. I should be trying to make friends, but I chickened out.

You can do it PS.
I was invited to a reception for the Chair of another department, he's stepping down and they're throwing him a party. I accepted the invitation, but now am all "should I go?" because all of the big wigs will be there and I'm just an admin. But one of the admin's in the department said I should come. Blergh.
ps, get back in there to "take another cupcake", but end up hanging out for 10 minutes and make new friends with that nice accounting lady you pass in the hallway and love her shoes.

My confession is that we had a little breakfast for my co-worker today. Instead of making something myself, I was lazy and brought in leftover apple bundt cake that my sister made for our family GTG yesterday. I sliced it up and served it on a platter so you couldn't tell it was left over. I totally passed it off as my own which was a brillant plan until someone asked me what was in it....

my confession - I've renewed my obsession with baby/kid wearing. PF is putting on weight steadily now and she's killing my arms. A stroller isn't always convenient and wearing her was something we both always enjoyed. Time to renew the practice!
I think I would have said you know apples, flour, the usual. I really want a piece of cake now.
This is what I said..."apples, flour, butter, you know...." The funny shit is, I was telling my sister the story tonight and it wasn't even an apple cake. Lmao! Apparently I totally made that part up.

If I'd been there I'd have smacked you on the butt and told you to get back in there. Like a football player (even though you look nothing like a football player).

LOL. This is made even better by the fact that it was a "gold and black" party to celebrate the Pirates and Steelers both playing tonight.
