i just do it! for me, heat wave running is better than no running...but i have 3 kiddos that run me ragged no matter how hot it is so some (most?) days running is easier than that!
I just suck it up & do it. I know if I can just slog through the heat & humidity in summer, come fall I will run so fast in comparison! It's more of a longer term motivation, but to me it's better than not running & "starting over" when it cools down.

Well, I have not been. I've been better on hot days than ever before, but I have not been running through this latest heat and humidity wave. It's also been the last week of school and I have a huge weekend ahead full of wedding responsibilities. After that if I'm still making running excuses, I'll force myself to go swim at the Y so I'll at least have a workout in.
Tips I have for you (and me) are: 1. Like the previous poster said, remember how much it will suck to have to build up your running again. 2. Schedule a race you have to work towards. 3. Have a friend meet you running.

Well it's humid for 6 months straight here, so I don't really have a choice. But I like to think about the advantage that I will have come race day over everyone who didn't train in the heat and humidity.
I find that running earlier in the morning helps with the humidity. Not that it's not humid, it was about 80% humidity this morning, but it seems less oppressive when it's in the low 60's at 5:30am that in the 80's and humid at 5:30pm.

I run on the treadmill as much as I can stand. =/
I ran outside twice this week; which is two more times than I ran outside last week.. but the last 2 days i've run on the treadmill. Run early, or run late. Running in the middle of the day is for the birds.
If I didn't run when it is humid, I would have to take off from May-October. I just accept that some days are.going to be miserable and take it easy. When possible, I run early in the morning or after the kids go to bed (at around 8 pm).
my running partner would shame me to death if she could do it and I wouldn't.
plus a lot of my races are starting at 9 or 930, which is funny because in March and April it seems they were starting closer to 730...so I just sign up for lots of races and that way I HAVE to run in the crazy weather.
True, I just need to suck it up and do it. I woke up at 5am this morning and was out the door at 5:20am. very dark, but wore my running headlight and it was actually pretty great. Dark, peaceful, and quiet. Albeit a bit humid, at least it was cool
This is the first summer that I will be consistently running outside since I'm training for the Marine Corps Marathon.
-Go in the morning or evening -I bring my water belt for 5M or longer runs to help cool off -Have a race on the calendar that I have to train for -If I have to run during the day, I'll hit up the treadmill, but I try to do most of my runs outside. -Just go!
I either run early or late unless I want to guarantee I'll have a crappy run (like my two noontime runs last weekend, and my sorry attempt at speedwork Weds evening)...or hit the TM/track at the gym.

One day a week I run on the treadmill. The other days, I suck it up and run outside and think how awesome I'm going to be in December. Really? It sucks but I just do it. Ugh I hate the humidity. Damn Texas.

Exactly this, except that my training is for NYC.
Early November could bring any kind of weather for my marathon so I realized I needed to stop being a baby about the humidity and just get out there. It was still humid at 5:00 am this morning but better than if I went out a bit later.

This exactly...except here it's probably more like 8 months straight.
I also recently turned part of my desk at work into my little inspiration corner. I hung my marathon medals & pinned up my training schedule for my next marathon. Training starts in October & I know that if I want to tackle that schedule & hit my goal for that race, I can't slack off during the summer. Seeing that throughout the day, motivates me to get my run done after work & not just go home & be lazy.
I'm in the suck it up and do it camp. Running outside, even @8:30/9pm was still humid and in the 90s but I had to get my run in anyway. I've been on the dread mill a bit more than usual lately but only as a last resort.
