For the first time in forever (and it won't happen again for a while), we have nothing on the calendar this weekend! Unfortunately that means we're using the time to dig out the crap in our basement and try to organize another room before we have guests in a couple of weeks. I am literally aching for a massage, but I feel guilty for leaving DH with the mess while I get a rub-down. But a clean basement will be a good reward.

My program is done in about 3 hours, and then I am FREE! Well, until I do it all again starting July 9th, heh.
Tomorrow, we're going to dinner at Salt, but we don't have any additional plans. I was able to swap my flex day from next Friday to Monday (my boss is awesome), so I have a three-day weekend. We may take a drive to either Newport or Newburyport on Monday, but we may do nothing.
My husband is coming home from a business trip and we are meeting his friends from his native country (Venezuela) for dinner tonight. No real plans for the rest of the weekend. I'm catching up with one of my good friends tomorrow, but I'm not sure what we're going to do yet. I have a 5:30 am flight to Dallas (for a conference) on Monday morning, so I hope to sleep and relax a lot.
Tonight I'm going to hang out with my BFFs for a little while.
Tomorrow I'm getting a mani/pedi with my mom and then doing some shopping with SIL. I'm going to try and get some cleaning done if its not a billion degrees in the house still.
I have today off and I have nothing planned! I think I will be bored by noon. It's way too hot to be doing anything outside so Im just trying to stay cool.
Tomorrow I'm going to get a tattoo. I'm very excited.

My husband is working all weekend but I'm watching my niece for a few hours tonight and then I'm heading out to Western MA to see my folks and go to the Mutton and Mead Festival. I haven't been to this particular faire but it should be fun

I spent the morning running errands and once DD goes down for her nap I need to start packing. We're heading to my parents for a week tonight and I haven't even started.
We'll get to VA sometime tomorrow and I'm abandoning DH and DD to go out with some high school friends in DC (dinner at PS7 and then on to CocoSala I think.)
On Sunday we're heading to Richmond to see one of my best friends from college. Haven't seen her since her wedding 3 years ago.

413 represent! (I grew up in Springfield.) Where in western MA is it? I can't wait to hear about it - it sounds kind of awesome.
5kcandles - Ha! 413 love! The medieval festival is in Turners Falls, I think it's relatively new for the area from what my parents tell me. I know it defintely wasn't around when I was living out there.
I would *kill* for a free weekend! We have been SO busy lately, it sucks. This weekend is our SCUBA diving class. We had a whim where we thought it would be cool to learn to scuba dive. Bought a groupon and scheduled it. Now I'm totally freaking out. Classroom stuff tonight, then more classes and pool exercises Sat and Sun. I feel very unprepared and I think we were supposed to buy fins/masks. I really need to read directions, but we've been so busy we can't keep up!

Rock: I can't believe you have no plans... Enjoy! :drink: Dr. L: I would still go for a massage. You will be in much better shape to help organize if you're relaxed. Trying to organize when you are stressed and tense will just not be as productive. (I just made appointments for SO and I to go to Exhale next Friday for a yoga class and for massages. We are going to need it after my parents visit this week!)
Tonight was low key: Made burgers and played cards with a good friend.
Tomorrow is cooking and cleaning, in prep. for the parent's arrival. (Cleaning is super important. Mom will inspect the baseboards and check to make sure things have been dusted...)
Sunday will be a day at SOWA and dinner in the garden. Monday, Lunch at B&G with Mom and Dad and just hanging out in Boston Tuesday we head up to Maine.
So the Mutton and Mead Festival was pretty good. It's only in it's second year but one of the organizers is a friend of my parents and he said on Saturday alone they had the same number of people attend as the total number from last year.
According to my parents they also had double the food and non-food vendors as well. Anyway, it was fun, defintely has a home-grown feel to it compared to King Richard's Faire but I think that's what makes it charming. And there's nothing like it out in that are of MA so if they are able to keep having it every year I think it will grow and become a nice yearly event.
I will say one of the knights in the jousting match was pretty handsome
