I have a park literally right next door to my house with a paved path. I went running today but was feeling meh so I decided to stick to the park in case I needed to get home in a hurry.
Anyway, the city has little stations where they provide empty bags for cleaning up dog messes and disposal bins. Despite this I was still having to dodge piles of dog poop. Seriously people!? You don't even have to provide your own baggies, stop being so f-ing lazy.
How about when people bag their dog poop, but then leave the bag-o-shit on the path?!?!?! That drives me bananas!
I shouldn't complain, though, as my city was just named the tidiest in the US (who knew that was a thing?)
someone was walking their dog down a street in my neighborhood that has a lot of little shops and restaurants on it. They left their dog's bag in the handle of one of the buildings...no way you could avoid it if you had to open the door.

WHAT?!?!? All I can HOPE for is that that person knew who lived/worked there and did it on purpose. Otherwise, that is completely disgusting and unacceptable.
I see baggies of poop on the path all the time. Ridiculous. If you can own a dog, you can clean up after it.

That bugs me so much! I run with my dog and I always have a few back up bags just in case. I keep some tied to my leash just in case of an emergency in case I forget to add a roll to my spi belt.
On the block where we live there are lights in the sidewalk that illuminate at night. Someone let their dog poo on one and it was a steamy, gross mess. F#ckers.

DH did this the other day when we were running a 5 mile loop. Well, he left the bag on the side of the path, not on the path. He figured he'd pick up the bag on our return trip around the loop. I obsessed about not forgetting that damn bag the entire run. Of course we picked it up and threw it away when we got back to our car though. But I was paranoid someone would think we were jerks who leave dog poo bags lying around.

People do this in our neighborhood all the time. We have bag stations too. It drives me bananas! They will even leave it right in the middle of the sidewalk and I've seen piles right by the station with the bags and trash can

Drives me crazy. It happens in our apartment complex all the time. I'm waiting for the day I catch someone doing it then I'm scooping that shit up and dropping it at their door!
I work downtown and walk through an outdoor shopping area every day - the number of times I have to step over dog poop is sad. Its always early in the AM before the cleaning people come out, but that just isn't fair to them. People suck.

Say what now? I seriously see 50,000 dog turds (including the bagged and left ones) daily. As a dog owner, this makes me crazy. How effing lazy can you be? Do not even get me started on this, I will rant for 20 minutes. I have never seen anything like it before.

I admit I do that too. I'd rather carry the dog poop only on the way back.

Ok, this is good. Hopefully that is what is happening most of the time when I see them.
this makes me glad I live in the middle of nowhere VT. There are no laws like this where I live. And there aren't a lot of people out and about anyway with dogs, so I do not have to worry about running over dog poop while running.
Side note: in college I volunteered at the humane society and walked a lot of dogs and had to pick up their poops while walking (since we were in a city). But I had grown up never having to do that and it really skeeved me out to pick up a hot steaming pile of poop and carry it with me for the rest of our walks. So I always would walk them in rural spots, let them do their thing, then keep walking and I would pick up the poop on our way back so it wasn't so hot and fresh. haha.
