I lost one a couple months ago, and am in the process of losing another. Don't pull them off. When they really bothered me, I'd put a band-aid over them, but it's not a big deal. They didn't stop me from doing any runs.
I've since gotten new shoes another 1/2 size bigger so hopefully I don't have this problem again.
Yeah I just got the newer version of my old Asics about maybe 6-8 weeks ago? And in my same size. I may just need to tie them tighter so my feet don't slide around as much. I think a half size up would be too big but I'll be due for new ones soon so I'll definitely try on both.

I'd just wrap them in bandaids. I lose the same one every year after the marathon, but this year, another nail is starting to really hurt, even though it still looks ok. I would say naturally let them fall off if that's the direction they are going, so that when they grow back, it will be more normal. Gauze and tape can work as a wrap too if they get really uncomfortable.

When mine first came off, I wrapped it in a bandaid with a little Neosporin w/pain reliever on it since it was sore. Other than that, I never noticed it was gone when I was running.
Mine are weird because I don't lose them, they just grow out. You can see the new one growing out from underneath , but the top one hangs on. Lol Are they actually lifting & peeling off? I just keep clipping them really short & try not to mess with them. I don't think they'll bother you too much.
They aren't falling off yet. It looks a little like they are starting to detach at the top but they have a long way to go. I was just planning to keep them really short and let them do their thing but I wasn't sure if they would start hurting or anything. I'll keep band aids on hand just in case.
One of them got kind of sore a couple weeks ago but I didn't even know anything was wrong til I took off my toenail polish last night and two of them were black!

This is what mine do, too. Nasty toenail twins in da house!!!!
I try to keep things as short & tidy as possible. They've never bothered me while running.
I'm in the process of losing two right now. My feet are fug and I have...hammertoes so my toenails always hit the end of my shoe - regardless if the size of the shoe is right or not. Anyway...
I've put bandaids over the injured nails because I am afraid of them catching on my sock or something. And they were also just really bothering me on my long runs. The bandaids helped. I also put body glide all over the place so the bandaids wouldn't be annoying (ok, and then powder - its probably overkill). It worked out fine.

I have 3 of them working their way out - I've tried different shoes but it doesn't matter what I do with a longer 2nd toe + downhills on trails.
For the most part I leave them alone then hold my breath when I take my shoes off. I really just want them to hurry up and fall off as its far less annoying/ugly/painful when they are gone!
Good luck...enjoy the runner cred your toenail-less feet give you!
