What type of bicycle light do you ladies use?
I ride my bike in the morning before work and its pretty dark out. The one I have now hardly lights up the area in front of me. I think its time for a new one since its only going to get darker with the time chage.
I would like it to be pretty bright but not overly expensive.

I have a black diamond light that came as a package set with a taillight/red light as well - it gets the job done for dawn/dusk rides. I thought I bought it on Amazon but I can't find it in my past orders list. I didn't pay more than $30 for it with shipping.
Not super helpful without a link...but I'd check out Amazon and do a little research on the lumens.

Here are a few ideas if you need to be seen as opposed to seeing where you are going. Don't forget a red blinkie for the back of your bike, so that cars can see you from the rear. Invest in some decent lights, and you will use them for many seasons. Separate front and back lights are $25-35/each.
I love any Planet Bike product I have, and they are very bright. I use them to be seen on the road after dark. (I have a large light system for riding mountain bikes when I need to see things.)

I have a CygoLite (forget which model, Turbo something) that works really well. I think I paid around 90 or so. I use mine more to see than anything and I commute on my bike. My area gets pretty heavy fog and I haven't had any issues with the light.
This is pretty similar to what I have, but I definitely got it for less:
It would be fine for "being seen" but not "needing to see things" on the road.
Cool! I really think that's all I need. If not, it sounds like I'll be way out of this price range anyway, and I'll save it for a future purchase. Reasonable?
Cycling shoes are like running shoes--it's best to try them on in person to see if they fit. Of course, you could also order both pairs and return the one you didn't want. Either of those pairs would work for what you want to do.
